Stock dividends are additional shares of a company's stock that are distributed to existing shareholders as a form of dividend payment. Instead of receiving cash, shareholders receive more shares of the company's stock. This can be a way for a company to reward its shareholders without using cash, and it can also help to increase the number of shares outstanding. Stock dividends are typically expressed as a percentage, such as a 5% stock dividend, which means that for every 100 shares owned, the shareholder would receive an additional 5 shares. **

Vegans choose to abstain from consuming animal products because of the ethical and environmental implications of animal agriculture. While it is true that plants are living organisms, the key distinction is that plants do not have a central nervous system or the ability to feel pain or suffer in the same way that animals do. Additionally, plant-based diets have been shown to have a lower environmental impact compared to animal-based diets. Therefore, vegans focus on reducing harm to sentient beings and minimizing their environmental footprint by choosing to consume plant-based foods. **
