Stock dividends are additional shares of a company's stock that are distributed to existing shareholders as a form of dividend payment. Instead of receiving cash, shareholders receive more shares of the company's stock. This can be a way for a company to reward its shareholders without using cash, and it can also help to increase the number of shares outstanding. Stock dividends are typically expressed as a percentage, such as a 5% stock dividend, which means that for every 100 shares owned, the shareholder would receive an additional 5 shares. **

The SQL query may not be filtering DISTINCT correctly if it is not returning unique values for the specified columns. This could be due to the query not accurately identifying which columns to apply the DISTINCT keyword to, or if there are other columns in the SELECT clause that are causing the results to appear non-distinct. It's important to review the query and ensure that the DISTINCT keyword is being used appropriately to filter out duplicate values based on the specified columns. Additionally, checking for any joins or subqueries that may be affecting the distinctness of the results is also important. **
